AUDIOCONFERENCE OVERVIEW

Bridges to Excellence (BTE) recently announced the launch of its newest program, Spine Care Link, in order to broaden the availability of standard measures of care for back pain and highlight and reward physicians and practices that demonstrate that they deliver the highest levels of care. The Spine Care Link program is focused on improving the quality of care for patients with sub acute or chronic back pain. Physicians who demonstrate they are top performers in spine care can earn up to $50 per year for each spine care patient covered by a participating employer or health plan. Participating employers and health plans fund these incentives from the savings they achieve through lower health care costs and increased employee productivity that result from the delivery of higher quality spine care. To qualify for the Spine Care Link program, eligible physicians must demonstrate that they provide high levels of spine care by passing NCQA's Back Pain Recognition Program (BPRP).

In this audio-conference, participants will learn about the strategic need for BTE's Spine Care Link program, the challenges of measure development and how NCQA arrived at its current set of measures, how to focus on the right measures, and the physician perspective on NCQA's BPRP and BTE's Spine Care Link.
